I wanted to have my own little David Sedaris experience because I'm this intellectual-male-badass-walks-to-his-own-drum and blah blah, fucking blah. David Sedaris is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. When You Are Engulfed in Flames is only the second David Sedaris book I've read, though I've listened to one of the discs of the audiobook version of Barrel Fever: Stories and Essays. On the one hand, we have a skeleton smoking a cigarette. His words have an incredible strength that pin you down for a tickle.
